Nita Ambani captivated everyone with her elegant choice of attire at the State lunch co-hosted by U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris, where she graced the occasion in a vivid pink Patola saree. The event, hosted by US President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden in honor of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, witnessed the presence of Mukesh and Nita Ambani alongside several distinguished personalities.
In addition to her exquisite ivory-gold Banarasi brocade saree, Nita Ambani showcased the cultural richness of India through the vibrant pink Patola saree. The ensemble reflected her vision of promoting Indian artisans and highlighted the centuries-old craft. The saree, woven meticulously over six months by skilled traditional artisans Dushyant Parmar and Vipur Parmar in pure Indian silk, featured captivating hues, animal patterns, and geometric perfection.
NMACC (Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre) shared a post explaining the significance of this art form, which is supported by Reliance Foundation’s SWADESH initiative, dedicated to celebrating India’s cultural legacy.
During the White House State Dinner, Nita Ambani continued to exude ethnic charm, adorning a silk ivory saree with delicate golden accents and an ornate border. The saree was sourced from Reliance Foundation’s Swadesh exhibit at NMACC.
Prominent personalities such as Anand Mahindra, Indra Nooyi, Nikhil Kamath, Satya Nadella, and fashion designer Karishma Swali were also in attendance at the prestigious US State dinner.
